I think BLEW was one of the few bands in the world we all agreed were awesome. in the early days of the internet we bought a $100 digital 8 track ISA soundcard with 1/4" stacked breakout box and got a copy of the full version of a Cool Editing Program for recording. It was called the ISIS. i still got it in a box somewhere waiting for ISA slots to make a comeback. Danny Cool guy wanted to put out a 7" for us and we had a new song plus this cover we were fuckin with. So we grabbed the duct tape and a few mics from a then failing radio shack and went to town. We used this PZM mic for everything from the drums to the guitar and vocals. Frankie Stubbs told us he did the Minx vocals on one of these taped to a wall, so of course we did the same. He might have been lying. this and the original recording of "its amazing the things you find in your pocket after a bender" are the only two recordings with Lenny on Bass. But theyre pretty rad and for a buncha drunks with no idea how to record digitally-ish at home, it aint bad at all. Since editing on a bh6 with a celeron 333 and 64mb of memory crashes the shit out of your computer, we covered the mistakes by adding more tracks. PRODUCING!!!
